Each year, the Facilities & Maintenance Working Group provides a Knowledge Transfer Day (KTD) at U.S. based host airport. Airports including Salt Lake City, Tampa and Houston, have hosted previous events.

The purpose of the KTD is to bring together airport facilities and maintenance staff from around the country, and who normally do not travel for official airport business, the opportunity to discuss best practices and lessons learned as it relates to facility and maintenance operational issues. 

KTD allows attendees the opportunity to tour an airport and to better understand day-to-day best practices as it relates to operations and maintenance issues at that specific airport.  The event is an ideal opportunity for airport staff to share information, abilities and ideas across the facilities and maintenance spectrum and to encourage best practices to boost overall airport operational efficiency.
