Facilities & Maintenance Knowledge Transfer Day Event in Houston, TX
Thursday, September 16th, 2021
Facilities & Maintenance Working Group Members:
Registration is now open for the ACI-NA Facilities & Maintenance Knowledge Transfer Day event! This year’s event, hosted by the Houston Airport System/George Bush Intercontinental Airport, is scheduled for Wednesday, October 13 from 9:00am to 3:00pm CDT. Registration is limited to 70 registrants, on a first come first serve basis.
Over the past few years, the Facilities & Maintenance Working Group has provided a ‘Knowledge Transfer Day’ at U.S. based host airport. Airports, including both Tampa and Salt Lake City, have hosted previous events. The purpose of the one-day event is to bring together airport facilities and maintenance staff from around the country, and who normally do not travel for official airport business, the opportunity to discuss best practices and lessons learned as it relates to facility and maintenance operational issues as commercial service airports. Additionally, the event allows attendees the opportunity to tour an airport and to better understand day-to-day best practices as it relates to operations and maintenance issues at that specific airport. The event serves as an opportunity for airport staff to share information, abilities and ideas across the facilities and maintenance spectrum and to encourage best practices to boost overall airport operational efficiency.
The Houston Airport Marriott at George Bush Intercontinental has agreed to provide a special rate of $169 per night. Please make sure to mention the ‘ACI-NA Knowledge Transfer Day Event’ to receive the discounted rate. PLEASE NOTE: The number of rooms available under this rate is very limited, so please make sure to reserve your hotel as soon as possible. The room rate, outside the special discount, begins at $239 per night. While you are not required to stay the Houston Airport Marriott, our host airport will provide shuttle service from the Marriott to the airport conference center and attendees are encouraged to stay at the Marriott.
